Snežana Jovičić is an Assistant Professor and Research Associate at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, University of Belgrade – Faculty of Pharmacy. She completed healthcare specialization studies in medical biochemistry in 2011 and defended her doctoral disertation in 2013. From 2002 to 2022 she worked at the Center for Medical Biochemistry of the University Clinical Centre of Serbia, where she was the Head of the Department at the Clinics for Cardiac Surgery from 2012 to 2022. She is appointed as the Chief of the Laboratory for Medical Biochemistry Analysis at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Pharmacy in 2023. The research interest of Dr Snežana Jovičić is mainly focused on biomarkers of cardiovascular disease risk. She authored or co-authored 31 papers in national and international journals (h-index: 9). She is the Co-Editor of the Journal of Medical Biochemistry and serves as a reviewer in several international journals. Dr Snežana Jovičić is the President of the Society of Medical Biochemists of Serbia and the Executive Board Secretary of the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM), where she is a member of several working groups and task forces. She is a member of the EFLM Academy and of the EFLM Register of Specialists in Laboratory Medicine.
