Sandra Vladimirov, PhD

Investigator

Sandra Vladimirov is a research associate working at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. She defended her doctoral thesis in 2019. Currently, Sandra Vladimirov participates in HI-MOM project (Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia) and CAHInnovateD project (Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia). So far, she has authored 14 papers in domestic and international journals (h-index: 4). Her research interest is the development, optimization and validation of GC/FID, GC/MS and HPLC-MS/MS methods for quantification of various lipid and steroid compounds in different biological samples, and investigation of their biomarker potential. The main topic of her previous research has been (epi)lipidomics with special emphasis on the investigation of cholesterol and vitamin D metabolism. Sandra Vladimirov is a member of the European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) and the European Oxysterol Research Network (ENOR), as well as a working group member of the two ongoing COST actions. She is also a member of the Young researchers’ committee of the Society of Medical Biochemists of Serbia.
