Investigator
Marija Sarić Matutinović is a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant working at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade in 2012, with an average grade of 9.18. After graduation, she completed a mandatory internship at the Center for Medical Biochemistry, University Clinical Center of Serbia and passed the state exam for masters of pharmacy - medical biochemists in 2013. She defended her doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, module Medical Biochemistry, in 2022. She participated in the realization of 1 national scientific research project and is currently a member of HI-MOM project team (Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia). So far, as an author or co-author, she has published 10 papers in international and national journals, 9 papers from SCI list (h-index: 2). Her research interest has been mainly focused on the field of laboratory endocrinology, especially thyroid disorders, thyroid autoimmunity, and thyroid-eye disease. She was involved in the investigation of inflammatory, metabolic, and oxidative changes in various pathologies, and overall biomarker research as possible diagnostic, prognostic and predictive indicators. She is a member of the Society of Medical Biochemists of Serbia, the Chamber of Biochemists of Serbia, and EFLM Academy (European Federation for Laboratory Medicine Academy), as well as a working group member of the two ongoing COST actions.
